Ferry, the main breeder started making regular seeds during his study, in the early '90's, as an extra income. Due to high demand from the Dutch seed companies, it became a massive legal regular seed production business for seed banks during the 90's.

At the end of the 90's the first female seeds came on the market. They were very popular, but also very unreliable. The breeders' experience in massive regular seed production along with his engineering back ground motivated him to investigate into how to produce 100% reliable female seeds.

Female Seeds entered the market in 2003. It became a huge success because of the low priced quality seeds concept. Our seeds became so popular that we had difficulties with supply. At that moment many more feminised seedbanks started to enter the market. However, a good reputation, reliable and unique product and friendly service helped us to differentiate ourselves from the mass.

Welcome to our paradise! In 2017, we discarded our hectic city life, opting to immerse our family in a life of farming. We chose to farm hemp because of our own personal experience with this amazing plant! We saw firsthand how hemp-derived products supported the wellness of our own family members.

Our Story:
As a combat veteran with PTSD, I was placed on a 12-drug regiment for years. This over medication made me lose my thirst for life. At a farming conference in 2018 I came across someone selling CBD and had my first sample. Almost instantly my aches and pains got better and the anxiety I was feeling by being in a large crowd became manageable. CBD allowed me to later to get off my other medications and start living my life again.

I, like many new to CBD, was taking a product that was full of fillers and generally of poor quality, so I vowed to do it better. Fiddler's Green CBD tinctures only contain three ingredients with no fillers. All our products are triple, and third party tested for consistency and quality.

Giving Back:
When I first got out of the military, prior to CBD, I was a lost over medicated zombie that was teetering on the verge of poverty and homelessness. CBD has given me my life back and we at Fiddler’s Green feel that it is an obligation to help our brothers and sisters in and out of uniform. A portion of every sale go to build tiny homes for veterans who are homeless or struggling. We are a producer of strain specific, whole flower, Raw Tinctures.  Our Raw Tinctures are high in the cannabinoids THCA and CBDA because we do not decarboxylate (apply heat to) the cannabis; as a result, most people using our products do not experience a ‘high’ feeling, allowing them to remain active and productive throughout the day. Lauren Vázquez is the Fired Up Lawyer. She is a cannabis business attorney and social entrepreneur who has worked for over a decade to end cannabis prohibition and advance alternatives to the failed war on drugs. Lauren has practiced cannabis business law since 2009 and entered private practice in 2011. She has advised numerous cannabis companies and organizations. Lauren is a Professor at Oaksterdam University and previously served as the National Deputy Director of Communications for the Marijuana Policy Project. In 2016, Lauren was a Senior Advisor and Statewide Organizer for the successful Prop 64 Campaign that legalized cannabis in California.

Lauren started her reform work as a student activist in 2004 when she founded the UC Santa Barbara chapter of NORML, the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. Under her leadership, the chapter ran the successful Measure P campaign, Santa Barbara’s Lowest Police Priority Ordinance for adult marijuana use. As an undergrad, Lauren also worked with expert medical cannabis physician David Bearman, M.D., assisting with research and patient services. In 2006, National NORML named Lauren Student Activist of the Year.

From 2006 to 2009 Lauren attended Santa Clara University’s School of Law where she studied with leading criminal defense attorney and medical cannabis advocate Gerald Uelmen. Lauren also interned with the Public Defender’s Office appearing on behalf of individuals in drug court. She continued her activism as President of the law school’s ACLU chapter and Co-chair of the Public Interest Social Justice Coalition.

Shortly after graduating law school, Lauren founded the Silicon Valley chapter of Americans for Safe Access (ASA) helping to launch a $50 million cannabis industry in San Jose. She organized patients, community members, and industry leaders to lobby the city council to allow storefront dispensaries. She also worked as an associate with medical cannabis attorney James Anthony and was a legal researcher and political strategist for the medical cannabis consulting firm CannBe.

In 2011, Lauren Vázquez launched her private practice as the Fired Up Lawyer. She also created the nation’s first and only pro bono legal clinic for medical cannabis patients at SPARC collective in San Francisco. Lauren has been invited to speak at cannabis events across the country and has made numerous media appearances advocating for drug policy reform. Over the last decade, Lauren has helped lead us out of the dark ages of cannabis prohibition into the brave new world of legalization.

If they were physically capable & interested, he taught them how to set up indoor gardens to grow and cultivate for themselves. Patients were never charged for his services. That is the spirit of cannabis. Jerry cultivated for & worked at the first Buyer's Club in San Francisco. His Mentor for almost 30 years was the legendary Dennis Peron, hero, to all cannabis patients and enthusiasts.  Dennis fought tirelessly for cannabis reform among many other successful crusades.  Dennis wrote Prop 215. 

Jerry literally lived on a mountain under a log in Mendocino and grew cannabis for patients in need. Jerry's experience shows that cannabis cultivation requires extreme perseverance, dedication, physical strength, patience, and knowledge in farming, horticulture, biology, engineering, and social and political sciences.

Jerry is grateful and thankful for his mentors, friends, cultivators, cannabis lovers and the pioneers in his life, and the ones that gave their lives and freedom to bring cannabis to the people under all circumstances. First Cut Farms grows for everyone that cares about having high-quality cannabis.
