Hi-Fi Cannabis Shop emerged from an equally enjoyable counterpart with music when the owners of neighboring Amoeba Records opened the dispensary earlier this year to expand their business.
Meanwhile just a block away, contemporaries of the Bird have enjoyed their signature fried chicken sandwiches and breakfast biscuits made with fresh-baked buns and a pleasing blend of spices. The go-to is the “Happier Meal,” consisting of a sandwich, curly fries and a beer for just $12.50.
Starting this week, adult guests can upgrade it to the “Happiest Meal,” which also includes a coupon redeemable at Hi-Fidelity good to buy one pre-roll and get a second one at half price.
Guests of the dispensary won’t be left out of the collaboration. Anyone who purchases any eighth-ounce of flower get a coupon for a free curly fries and a beer with the purchase of a sandwich at the Bird.

As stigma falls and legalization spreads, cannabis and food service continue to edge closer and closer together. Pyscho donuts in San Jose, CA. teamed up with the Guild extracts on a 4/20 promotion — a terped-out vegan weed donut. Jack in the Box openly courts late-night munchies customers. But Hi-Fi and the Birds coupon deal might the closest tie-in yet. Regional chains are going to be the first to fully tap into cannabis spenders, while national brands will remain more cautious.
The Hi-Fi pre-roll coupons are limited to the first 100 customers, starting today. So get squawking, Berkeley. The two businesses plan to continue the relationship with future plans for other offers and events.
If cannabis and chicken sounds like an enticing duo, visit the Bird or Hi-Fidelity now to take advantage of this very limited-time promotion.
