Melonade Runtz is a potent and strong cannabis strain. Due to her high THC level, this strain falls into the special and praised Dutch Passion seed category with extremely high THC levels. This means that the THC percentage will, on average, be between 20-25%.

What exactly are the genetics in Melonade Runtz?

Melonade Runtz was created by crossing a Melonade (Lemon Z x Lemon Tree) mother and a Runtz father (from a ‘reversed’ mother). The Dutch Passion Melonade genetics is a cross of the legendary and cup-winning Lemon Z (aka. Dutch Passion's Lemon Zkittle) with which we won both the Sativa category and the Overall Best Strain at the Highlife Cup in 2018.

This ‘cup-winning pheno' has in turn been crossed with an elite Lemon Tree clone. By crossing this potent and fruity Melonade with the well-known Runtz (Zkittlez x Gelato) genetics, a beautiful USA hybrid has been created that can compete with the very best contemporary cannabis genetics.

Melonade Runtz is a vigorous and stable feminised cannabis strain. She is an easy strain to grow, which makes her interesting for both beginners and experienced growers. This really is a beautiful looking 'commercial' cannabis strain with exquisite bag appeal. Most plants grow best naturally and in a SOG culture. This can usually be done without the use of complicated growth techniques/products. However, during the late flowering phase, the buds of some phenotypes become so compact and heavy that it is recommended to preferably support the buds a little, either with stakes, rope or a net.

In general, this strain has an average flowering time of around 9-10 weeks. Melonade Runtz is a medium sized plant with a large yield. The bloom time of Melonade Runtz

Melonade Runtz has an average flowering time of approximately 9-10 weeks before the plants are ready to harvest. This applies indoors from the moment the clock/light is set to 12/12. The shorter days and the 12-hour dark period ensure that plants will flower immediately. This average flowering period applies to fully controlled grow rooms.

If you grow in less-than-optimal conditions, the flowering period can be delayed by 1 week to a maximum of 2 weeks. Outdoors, approximately the same flowering time applies, but when exactly bloom starts depends on the exact location/latitude where the plant is grown.

In an outdoor grow, the plants flower more slowly, because the light cycle runs more gradually from the growth phase to the flowering phase. This means that the plants are prepared to flower in a more natural and gradual way. Inside, this happens quite abruptly. Outside you have a period of pre-flowering, which means they ripen faster later.

In a temperate climate in the Northern Hemisphere she will be ready approximately between early and late October, depending on the climatic conditions of the growing location. She grows best outdoors in a dry and sunny climate.
The yield of Melonade Runtz

Melonade Runtz has an average stretching period and a high yield. Most stretching takes place during the first 2 weeks of bloom with a slightly less vigorous stretch in the 3rd week. They are plants with a relatively compact growth structure and average height. Very suitable for growers who are looking for an easily controllable cannabis strain.

Melonade Runtz has a high yield, which allows harvests of approximately 400-450g m2 in an indoor grow. Outdoors, or as a single plant indoors with a very long pre-growth period, a yield of approximately 500g will be possible. Very experienced growers will be able to achieve even higher yields with the right products and growing methods.
Advice from our experts

Melonade Runtz is easy to grow and provides a large harvest in a relatively short seed-to-harvest period using a normal growing period. To grow her well and as quickly as possible in an indoor culture, we would use the following growth schedules.

On average, we recommend a minimum pre-growth (veg) time of around 3-4 weeks. This can take up to 6 weeks if the growing conditions are not optimal or if the plants have experienced a period of stress in the beginning.

If you grow only a few plants per m2, you can extend the pre-growth period by pre-growing her for at least 6-8 weeks. It is best to repot the plants to a larger pot size from the 3rd/4th week and repeat this again during the 5th/6th week, and possibly just before/or during the beginning (first few days) of the flowering period.

During the flowering period, ensure as little stress as possible and a stable climate so that the plant can fully focus on healthy growth and the pre-flowering phase. If this is successful, you will see that this is no ordinary cannabis cultivar, the buds become compact, white and are really beautiful to look at and they also smell incredibly pungent. What exactly are the genetics in Orange Bud 2.0?

Our goal with this cross was to combine old and new to a level that would appeal to all types of growers and smokers. Even dedicated 'old-school' Orange Bud growers will love Orange Bud 2.0. But she will also be a hit with 'new-school' growers who like extravagant scent and flavour profiles.

The crossing with the American Mimosa (Clementine x Purple Punch) enabled our geneticists to improve the quality of the buds and further stabilise the strain. Orange Bud 2.0 is therefore more compact, whiter and with a better flower-to-leaf ratio without sacrificing the unique Orange terpene profile.

Orange Bud 2.0 produces relatively compact plants with a fast flowering time. The buds are hard with a thick layer of resin and a strong citrus-dominant terpene profile

Orange Bud 2.0 is a new hybrid strain that is only available in feminised cannabis seeds. The plants have a slightly more compact and smaller plant structure compared to the classic Orange Bud. They also grow nice compact hard buds and are beautiful to look at. Because we focused on the quality of the buds and maintaining the relatively fast flowering time, we had to compromise slightly on the total yield.

Orange Bud 2.0 does not grow very large, she is slightly more Indica dominant than the original. If you grow her naturally without any growing methods, a height of about 75-100cm (2.5ft - 3ft) is quite typical - depending on the pot size and the light type/wattage. In the hands of good growers and an extended pre-growth period height be approximately between 100cm to a maximum of 150cm (~3ft - 5ft), but she doesn’t get much bigger.

Even first-time growers will enjoy growing Orange Bud 2.0 cannabis seeds. No special cultivation methods are required to achieve good results. By carefully stabilising her, she can also handle stress a little better than the original.

This is a unique new American-influenced Skunk cross. She produces robust branches and is easy to feed. The stretch is average and easy to predict. Orange Bud 2.0 does well in a SOG cultivation, just like her parents. Small pots, many plants per m2 and a short growth period promote a high yield.

Orange Bud 2.0 also grows easily naturally (with no growth techniques), but is slightly less suitable (compared to Original Orange Bud) for a SCROG due to her limited stretch and more compact plant structure. Orange Bud 2.0 can be harvested indoors after an average of 8-9 weeks.

She can also be relatively fast outdoors, making her a good candidate for harvesting early in the fall - especially in the warmer and dry areas. Around the Mediterranean region (and in similar climates/latitudes) she can be grown successfully outdoors.

The flowering time of Orange Bud 2.0

Orange Bud 2.0 has an average flowering time of approximately 56-63 days. Different phenotypes can be slightly faster or slightly slower. But in general, in an indoor cultivation, a flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks applies. Due to the more indica-dominant hybrid genes, this crossing is slightly more compact in stature and has less stretch than the original Orange Bud.

An outdoor grow will be ready around mid-October in a temperate climate in the Northern Hemisphere. Make sure there is a rain-cover and good ventilation in the area - the buds become so compact that they can’t tolerate excessive rain, fog or moisture.

For most northern European (or similar) climates, this means that it is best to finish flowering indoors (with humidity control) during the last few weeks for best results. She does well in a sunny and dry climate and you will be amazed by the potential of this strain! She likes organic soil and coco-fibre the most. But she can also be grown hydroponically, which allows you to shorten the total growth time by a week or two.
Advice from our experts on growing Orange Bud 2.0 seeds

Orange Bud 2.0 is a plant with a unique look. Some plants develop coloured and sometimes even dark shades on the leaves and around the buds. This is most visible in an outdoor grow. The contrast that arises with the bright white buds gives the flowers an exotic appearance. This is a strain that is easy to understand.

She prefers good organic soil and can tolerate quite a few nutrients. In addition, she is a nice strain to manipulate, top (or 'fim') it and during veg growth phase it is best to lollypop her and defoliate several times. When growing outdoors, it is recommended to top the plants, so that an even bushier plant is created where the central main bloom is divided into several smaller blooms.

This is especially important in slightly more temperate climates. Topping several times can then be a solution to reduce the risk of bud rot and mold. It is therefore best to grow her in containers, so that you can move the plants in bad weather. Orange Bud 2.0 is not really an ideal strain for the open ground.

For the highest yield in an indoor grow, we recommend the SOG method. Pots averaging between 7-11L work fine with a few weeks of pre-growth. Finally, make sure you have a good carbon filter system because this strain can reek with great pungency, especially in late flowering!

The new Lemon Z from Dutch Passion is an old acquaintance, but with a new look! We have improved and further stabilised our big hitter from the HighLife Cup in 2018 (1st prize for Best Sativa and overall winner of best weed in show).

The use of Lemon Tree genetics in this new crossing has made this feminised cannabis seed variety more stable and slightly faster in terms of flowering time. But with the same tasty, sweet, sour lemon-dominant terpene profile. The combination of Lemon Skunk with the original Z (Zkittle) and Lemon Tree genetics give this strain an excellent flavour profile and exceptional potency. The extremely high THC content averages around 20%, but in many cases, it can be even higher.

She has an XL yield and takes an average of around 8-9 weeks of bloom time. Expect relatively compact buds with a thick layer of resin and a pungent, inviting terpene profile. This is a strain to enjoy!

Dutch Passion Blue Zushi (Kush Mints x Zkittlez) is a unique Indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain known for her potent, pungent buds. This is a very powerful USA strain with THC levels that can easily exceed 25%. GMO Fast is a so-called ‘fast’ feminised seed version of the Garlic Cookies strain, sometimes known as GMO (Garlic Cookies). Our search for a super potent and pungent GMO strain led us to create this unique fast cultivar. For this, the Dutch Passion geneticists used a very potent GMO clone that was crossed with our classic Think Fast strain.

The result is a fast, stable and very potent photoperiod cannabis seed variety with a completely game-changing terpene profile. Most GMO Fast plants have the unmistakable and unique savoury, onion/garlic aroma profile. The THC levels of this feminised cannabis seed variety are very high and will usually be around/above 20%. Initial lab results indicated THC levels of around 22-23%. And all that in a very rapid flowering period thanks to the recessive (‘fast’) autoflower genetics. When grown indoors, she will be ready for harvest around 7-8 weeks after flipping the cannabis light cycle to 12/12.

In an outdoor grow, she is more than capable even in temperate climates. In a temperate outdoor environment in the Northern Hemisphere you can harvest in September (March in the Southern Hemisphere). Ice Cream Haze is a stable and robust Sativa-dominant cannabis strain. These ladies exhibit a vigorous growth pattern throughout their entire life cycle (both during the vegetative phase and the cannabis flowering phase). The plants develop strong, stiff branches and have a vigorous stretching period during flowering.

In general, the Sativa appearance dominates, with the large long leaves and desirable full/long spear-like buds. By adding the Ice Cream Cake genetics, there are also different phenotypes that embrace the hybrid characteristics and structure a little more.

This usually means a slightly more compact bud and a slightly faster flowering time than the more pure Sativas/Haze-dominant plants. On average, the flowering time is between 8-10 weeks - this is relatively fast for a Haze cannabis strain.

Most plants stretch in an indoor grow for approximately 2.5 - 4 weeks after changing the clock to 12/12 bloom conditions. This makes them ideal for cultivation in both the SOG and SCROG setup. These two cultivation methods also provide the highest yields. The F1 hybrid vigour is clearly present in this cross.

These are easy-to-grow plants that also do well in an outdoor grow, but keep in mind that this strain is not suitable for growing in temperate/cold climates due to the relatively longer flowering time. In a sunny, dry (e.g. Mediterranean-like) climate, this strain excels and in good conditions produces plants that can easily reach 3 meters in height and sometimes just as wide! Yields-per-plant can then easily exceed 1 kg (dry buds) in combination with the right care and climatic conditions.

Ice Cream Haze buds are loaded with trichomes, super white and sticky! Ice Cream Haze generally has a short-to-medium internode distance. The branches fill beautifully with buds merging together to form thick, fully loaded blooms.

The top blooms (main colas) often grow 25-50 cm long (when grown naturally) and become heavy enough to require support. The flowering time of Ice Cream Haze

Ice Cream Haze has an average flowering time of between 8-10 weeks. However, there will sometimes be plants that need a little longer to fully ripen. Especially when the indoor or outdoor climate has been less than optimal. She can withstand high temperatures quite well (30-35+°C), but this can delay the ripening of the buds during the late flowering phase. Preferably grow her in an optimized 21-27°C indoor climate (70F - 80F).

Outdoors, it is recommended to only grow Ice Cream Haze in slightly sunnier, warmer (and generally drier) climates. She is not suitable for growing in cold/wet regions. However, she does very well in the Mediterranean-like conditions and hilly areas.

When grown in a sunny and warm climate, the plants of this strain can grow into real monsters! She can tolerate quite a bit of rain, but does not like her roots to be waterlogged. The combination of wet and cold is very unfavourable and should therefore be avoided as much as possible.
The yield of Ice Cream Haze

Ice Cream Haze seeds produce plants with an extremely high XXL yield. Her elongated spear-like flowers can grow into long, solid blooms - around 40-50cm in the right conditions. The long buds have a short to medium internode distance. This ensures that the flowers grow in a tightly packed formation and therefore yields are heavy.

In an indoor grow, Ice Cream Haze can also produce very large harvests. A yield of approximately 600g/m2 can certainly be achieved. In the hands of an expert, even more is possible and with the right growing method you can even achieve around 700g/m2. Outdoors, plants grown in a warm and sunny climate will yield on average between 0.5-1 kg per plant, especially if they have been well pre-grown indoors before the outdoor season has started.

Ice Cream Haze is a Sativa-dominant Haze variety that has inherited just a little more of the Sativa genes from her mother. Although the plants will generally have a more Sativa appearance, a decent portion of the Indica genes have been included in this crossing. This ensures a relatively faster flowering time and a more compact, more hybrid bud structure for most phenotypes.

To achieve the highest yield, grow her indoors in a grow tent with the SOG method with e.g. 12-16 plants per m2 with a relatively short pre-growth. Or grow her with 2-4 plants per m2 in a SCROG setup in large air or smart pots with a long pre-growth period.

Outside in warm, dry climates she can grow in the open ground, but she also does very well in large 100-500 L smart pots/root pouches. The extra oxygen in these containers ensures good root aeration and the 'air pruning' that takes place ensures a very healthy root system with a thick root ball.

The flowers of Ice Cream Haze can smell incredibly strong and pungent towards the end of the bloom phase. The aroma is usually fruity and spicy, but can sometimes also be very creamy and sweet. The odour development is so strong & intense towards the end of flowering that it is recommended to take this into account.

She may require a little less nutrition than other strains, but as long as you don't overfeed her, she's pretty easy to understand. A tip is to start with a lower nutritional dose in the growth phase and build it up slowly. Keep in mind that haze strains can appear slightly lighter green than, for example, traditional indicas or Afghanis. But she must be green. As soon as she becomes light-yellowish it is a signal that she isn't getting enough nutrition! Increase your nutrient dose and make sure she receives a little more Nitrogen (N).

It is a cross between the Triangle Sherbet Kush (part of the 2024 limited drop as a free seed) with a Gelato #33 instead of the Gelato #41. The Gelato #33 is a favourite of Antonio. Like the original, this White Gushers #33 is an Indica dominant hybrid cannabis strain with potent, sticky buds and great bag appeal. Auto Blackberry Kush is a compact autoflower and will grow to an average height of around 0.75m. Some plants will remain around 0.5m, others may reach as tall as 1m. But in general she will grow to around 75cm. Some phenotypes grow very fast initially, even though the first 2 weeks may seem to be slow. From the end of week 3 to the beginning of week 4, she can really start to grow fast. By week 5, most of this explosive growth will be over and she will mainly focus on producing flowers.

Due to the fast flowering it’s possible to grow this autoflower in just about all conditions. Even in the most northern or southern regions. Choose the very best 2.5-3 summer months because sufficient sun-hours are important for a good yield. Where possible try to grow her during the months with the least rain. That’s because excessively high humidity will not benefit the compact buds!

With the right cultivation technique and in the right conditions, she can provide reasonably high yields. It’s possible to achieve around 400-450 g/m2 in a controlled indoor cultivation. Individual plants can easily yield several hundreds of grams per plant. Auto Blackberry Kush weed seeds can be grown on all types of systems and cultivation methods, whether it be hydro, soil or coco fibre.

With hydro/coco together with optimised lighting, yields of more than half a kg per plant are possible. But this is only for the most experienced and professional growers. Outdoors, she can yield between 50-100 grams per plant and we strongly recommend growing her in the sunniest and dry summer months.

A tip that we can give for both outdoor and indoor growers is to pay close attention to high humidity. Because of the thick and fairly compact buds she can be more prone to bud rot than other strains. It pays to keep an eye on her and give her sufficient attention during the last weeks of flowering.

An extra fan in your greenhouse or indoor garden can ensure that there is less stagnant air. This minimises the chances for mold and bud rot to develop. Auto Blackberry Kush is an easy-to-grow autoflower that performs well even for less experienced growers. She does well on all types of food and nutrient systems. Auto Mokum's Tulip has beautiful purple hues in the flowers of a couple of the four phenotypes. She also has some really special vanilla tones in her terpene profile. She leans towards the gassy side, though not as gassy as her photoperiod parent. But she does pack the same punch and colours alongside the XL potential, taking around 12 weeks indoors.

Because Auto Mokum's Tulip is a big resin producer, she can be used for making hash and gives great rosin yields. Make sure you don't discard your trim material from this plant, as it would be a waste to just throw it away. Take the opportunity to try and make some ice-o-lator hash. Or try making some rosin from the trim with greaseproof paper between hair straighteners (if you don't own a rosin press).

Auto Mokum’s Tulip

The need for high quality CBD strains that are low in THC (<1%) is still increasing. Dutch Passion can hardly keep up with the demand for the industry's leading CBD strain, CBD Charlotte's Angel and have decided to add another member to the high-CBD low-THC cannabis seed collection.
Dutch Passion have crossed the sativa dominant, best selling CBD Charlotte's Angel with one of their most stable strains, namely the classic indica-dominant Mazar.

CBD Mazar is slightly lower in CBD than CBD Charlotte's Angel. CBD Mazar produces approximately 10-13% CBD, but THC content is always below 1%. On average CBD Mazar shows around 0.4-0.5% THC.

Because of the indica traits that have been bred into this medical variety, Dutch Passion reduced flowering time by a week compared to CBD Charlotte's Angel, so 8 weeks instead of 9. Outdoors she finishes at the end of September.

Production potential can be classified as ‘Large’. Buds are hard and dense. The terpene profile leans towards the earthy, kushy and spicy side of the spectrum. As this plant is quite resinous, she can be used for extraction purposes and making oils.

CBD Mazar

Original photoperiod Kerosene Krash was created by crossing a GG#4 female with an exceptional Sherbet male. We were so happy with the result, that we immediately started working on the autoflowering version of this beautiful lady.
In order to turn these prize-winning photoperiod genetics into an autoflower, we used our Auto Glueberry OG (Glueberry OG x Auto Blueberry). This ensured the gassy terpene profile was passed on to the autoflower, along with superb potency.
Auto Kerosene Krash has more fruity tones in her aroma than the photoperiod version. But both are very potent varieties and beautiful to look at. Please ensure that your filters are in optimum condition, especially if you grow in a busy urban area. That’s because Auto Kerosene Krash can smell as pungent as the original photoperiod Kerosene Krash!

The new addition to the autoflower team is based on prize-winning genetics of the famous ‘Mimosa’, a clone-only cut from North America. Mimosa originally was created by crossing Clementine with Purple Punch. The Dutch Passion breeders team have crossed this cut with an autoflower Purple Punch. All phenos are green and have nice shiny leaves but the genetics certainly pack that extra (purple) punch!

This short hybrid autoflower that is easy to trim grows to approximately 50-90 cm depending on pot size and yields generously. Big fatty nugs full of resin can be expected and pleasant, fruity tones mixed with subtle diesel tones are responsible for the delicious smell coming from the frosty buds.

What was remarkable to notice when we got back the terpene analysis, was the exceptional high levels of the most dominant terpenes; beta-myrcene, beta-pinene, terpinolene and beta-caryophyllene. The highest levels in terpenes in an autoflower we have seen so far.. And she tastes likes she smells ;)

Hollands Hope® is a time honoured outdoor strain, one of the very first to be fully acclimatised and grown outdoors in Holland since the early 1980’s. Hollands Hope® is noted for its mold resistance, this is a hardy and reliable variety that is ready for harvest around the end of September or early October after around 8 weeks of flowering.


This is a quality indica bred to tolerate the Dutch outdoor climate but it will grow well in other outdoor climates. The plants are typically 1-2m tall, this is a heavy yielding Indica strain with a real knockout stone and has been a favourite outdoor strain of ours since the beginning.


Plants can yield anywhere from 100g to 1000g per plant depending on the growing conditions. Be careful not to give too much nutrition to Hollands Hope® as it can encourage too many leaves and actually reduce bud production. Buds typically reach 50cm in length and contain small leaves.

Released in 1997, Power Plant became an instant success. A heavy yielding and highly stable classic. Power Plant is a mostly sativa variety from South Africa, the original version is only available from Dutch Passion. It is a heavy yielder for indoor, greenhouse and outdoor gardens (does well in Mediterranean climates) with bumper yields of 500-600 grams/m2. She is popular with recreational and medical users and remains a pure and stable strain with a well deserved reputation.

 When first released every coffeeshop wanted Power Plant on their menu and she is still found in Dutch coffeeshops today. Power Plant is rich in THC and delivers a formidable strong “up‟ high with a fresh flavour, smooth smoke and sweet aftertaste. Indoor bloom takes 8-10 weeks. The plants reach 1-1.5m tall and the buds are often 30+cm long, with small leaves in them.

Auto Xtreme® is the exceptional result of a 2 year collaboration between Dutch Passion and DinaFem using some special Haze genetics from Dutch Passion.  The project took a lot a careful growing and selection before we were prepared to approve it.  The genetics are based on our Outlaw Amnesia® (Amnesia x Super Haze) photoperiod variety and have been adapted into an autoflower which delivers a powerful sativa Haze influence alongside very generous yields. This variety is exclusively available from Dutch Passion.

Auto Xtreme® is harvested around 80 days after germination.  This is a little longer than other autoflowers, but with this variety the extra time was needed to give the best combination of potency, taste and crop size.  As a result the plants may be a little larger than usual, up to 1.5m tall.  This is a new autoflower and one which will be very hard to beat.

Dutch Passion original Durban Poison® is a classic outdoor and indoor variety, tough enough for outdoor growing in extreme Northern/Southern latitudes. She was brought to Holland from South Africa and was inbred over many years during the 70’s. With each generation Durban Poison® became increasingly adapted to the windy and rainy conditions of Northern Europe. During the breeding process some unknown indica genetics have been crossed with Durban. Durban may initially show wide indica style leaves but the growth pattern allows the sativa dominance to show by the end with long blooms pierced by slim sativa-style leaves.


Durban Poison® is ready to harvest after 8-9 weeks indoors. Outdoors she can reach 2-3 metres tall and is harvested around the start of Autumn. With enough root space Durban develops strong side branches which will carry heavy resinous blooms. The plant development, harvest appearance and energising, uplifting high are typically sativa. Durban Poison® has a spicy, hazy taste with hints of aniseed, liquorice and cloves. The buds are often dark green and resistant to mold and pests. Very potent and consistent with good yields.

Pamir Gold originated in the western Himalayas of Tadzjikistan. The plant was adapted to the high altitudes of the Swiss Alpes during several years of selective breeding. Once selected seeds were reproduced in the Netherlands. Pamir Gold is a mostly Indica variety (60%,40%) having a sweet earthy taste with a breath of lemon and pear. Healthy plants are 1.5 to 1.8 meters in height outdoors. Mold and mildew resistant. Yield: above average. Does also well indoors. Subtile stone/high.

Frisian Duck® grows with unusually shaped leaves making it difficult to identify as traditional cannabis and ideal for outdoor and greenhouse growing in populated areas.

Orange Hill Special is an exceptional Orange Skunk selection, a new addition to our ‘Orange’ family.  She was developed with genetics from our much loved Orange Bud and Californian Orange varieties, two stable customer favourites which date back to the 1980’s.  Breeding took place through 6 generations to ensure a stable and strong Orange Skunk with lots of orange hairs at harvest, generous yields and a citrus flavour.  This is 50% indica/50% sativa with a 21% THC level which produces a great high with a solid and pleasurably relaxing body stone.

Plants typically stay short, around 1 metre, with lots of sticky buds on the side branches.  This is the bushiest and best yielding member of our Orange family.  Feeding is light initially, but in bloom she can take strong feed and take 8-9 weeks to finish.  Outdoors in warm climates she finishes around mid-October (mid April in Southern Hemisphere).
