White Mountain Health Center was born with a bang: by bringing a court case to trial. White Mountain vs. Maricopa County was battled in Arizona state courts over three long years before a judge finally ruled that White Mountain Health Center was in the right and could open its dispensary at its proposed location – namely, within a friendly 55-and-older retirement community.
Since opening its doors on December 27, 2014, White Mountain’s commitment to patients has never wavered: in addition to the retirement community, the location serves individuals from all across the West Valley area. “The patients inspire me to come to work every day,” says Butch Williams, co-owner and operator of White Mountain. “I see how some of them have to fight just to continue to live, and the inspiration they are when they report success with cannabis.”
The team at White Mountain is closely involved with the Arizona cannabis community and is highly supportive of employees and patients alike, ensuring access for all to educational opportunities. They also take time to appreciate their environs. “Our neighbors ride around in their golf carts as they enjoy their golden years,” laughs Williams, “[and] we love it when Spring Training comes to the Peoria Sports Complex up the street.”
First-time visitors should explore over 40 strains grown in-house, as well as White Mountain’s popular house brand of edibles. After your visit to the dispensary, pair your bud with a beer at nearby Peoria Brewery.
